A sweet and simple recipe for a unique appetizer!  These Cookie Dough Bites would make a great addition to your next holiday get-together.  Made with edible cookie dough (no egg!), cloaked in sweet chocolate and speared with a salty, crunchy pretzel, these are addictive and adorable little treats.

I’m a sucker for traditional recipes.  I love the classics around the holiday dessert table: old fashioned apple pie and pumpkin pie topped off with a mountain of whipped cream.  But I also love finding new favorite recipes and starting new dessert traditions, and in an attempt to create a cute and different sweet and salty appetizer for the upcoming holidays, I partnered with Challenge Dairy to create these adorable Cookie Dough Bites.

These are exactly the sort of unique, addictive treat that you need to grace your dessert table this season.

Cookie Dough Bites

The cookie dough for these bites only calls for a handful of ingredients, and whenever you’re making such a simple recipe it’s important that you use the best quality ingredients possible.  That’s why I always use Challenge Butter and Cream Cheese when making my recipes.  Challenge Dairy uses quality ingredients for the smoothest, creamiest butter and cream cheese, and you can really taste the difference, especially in these Cookie Dough Bites.

There is a touch of cream cheese in the recipe — just enough to add a hint of flavor and an extra bit of creaminess to the cookie dough.  This recipe will be a winner for anyone who enjoyed my edible cookie dough (and you can follow the steps there to toast your flour for this recipe, if you are worried about consuming raw flour).

And I know that it’s not yet even Thanksgiving so I might be a step ahead of myself here, but I have to mention that these are also very easy to dress up for the upcoming holidays…

OK, I’ll save the rest of my red and green photos for after Thanksgiving, I promise 😉
